Gareth is the founder of Smart Procurement Solutions, with extensive practical experience in delivering industry leading procurement and supply chain management solutions. He has worked on some of the most important and prestigious projects in healthcare, education, defence, water transportation and high speed rail sectors. His recent roles include Procurement Director SCS Railways HS2 from London Euston to Ruislip, Siemens Mobility Costain Joint Venture for the Traction Power on HS2, and strategic procurement specialist for BFV+ JV for Lower Thames Crossing. In each role he is able to draw on his extensive thought leadership and experience in mega project strategic delivery.

 

Gareth believes there is merit in sharing his experience and insight to improve procurement and supply chain management as part of his purpose to improve construction procurement. He has explored many ways of doing this and connected with his academic network at UCL to join forces on this front. He regularly lectures to the MSC students at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction. 

 

Most recently has also recently cofounded the not for profit working group Zero Construct, where the group is leading the transformation of construction, by co-creating a playbook to lower embodied carbon leading the Leadership pillar content creation.
